Spotlight EV (BMW × Great Wall)

The new, purpose-built EV platform of MINI, developed in the Spotlight Automotive joint venture with Great Wall and built in China. Unlike the Countryman (on BMW's FAAR combustion base), the Cooper Electric and the Aceman are real skateboards: the battery pack lies flat in the floor. 400V, front-wheel drive, NMC cells. For CarMatch the affordable, urban MINI EVs — note that this is a different product from the previous, Oxford-built Cooper SE.

Spotlight is the EV platform of BMW–Great Wall, in production since 2024, with a 400V architecture. The Spotlight platform carries 2 models from 1 brand. The WLTP range of the current variants on Spotlight runs from 305 to 406 km.
